We are looking for an energetic, customer focused, ambitious professional to join the Marketing team. This role will support the Marketing Manager, has a broad remit, with growth opportunities for the right candidate. Our initial commercial focus will be on Ireland and the UK, but we will be quickly building our European footprint.

This Marketing Executive role is an excellent opportunity for a candidate to build their marketing career with a progressive, successful and expanding financial services company. It is a varied role that includes customer engagement, media planning, advertising, public relations, event organisation, product development, sponsorship, market analysis and research.

The Role

As a Marketing Executive, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Media Co-ordination: working with the Marketing Manager the Marketing Executive will manage the day-to-day co-ordination of Blue Insurance's multi-media campaigns, following the media strategy agreed with the Head of Marketing. In this role the Marketing Executive will be expected to identify new advertising & promotional opportunities for the business.
  • Creative Development: working with the Marketing Manager and our in-house Graphic Designer, the Marketing Executive will co-ordinate the development of the marketing assets for upcoming media campaigns. They will also be responsible for the development of marketing material for Trade Shows, and Customer Communications. The Marketing Executive will need to ensure all creative is in line with Brand Guidelines and is approved by all key stakeholders – Head of Marketing, Marketing Manager, Compliance and Product Owners.
  • SEO Management: in partnership with the Marketing Manager, develop and manage our SEO strategy, including identifying improvements to technical architecture, on and off-site optimisation, and the creation of a content plan and content for our key websites, social media, blogs, third-party websites and where required newsletters.
  • PR Co-ordination: working with the Head of Marketing and our PR Agency, the Marketing Executive will develop and execute our PR campaign, this will include identifying PR opportunities, ensuring key stakeholders are aligned, and PR campaigns are reported on.
  • Customer Engagement: working with the Head of Marketing and Marketing Manager, develop and manage our customer contact strategy, including database management, the creation, co-ordination and reporting on all email & SMS marketing campaigns.
  • Consumer & Trade Events: working with the Head of Marketing, develop and manage all consumer exhibitions and trade events. These are key opportunities for us as a business to engage directly with customers and with our trade partners, requiring attention to detail planning, and tight time management skills.
  • Reporting: this will be a key requirement for the role. The Marketing Executive will be responsible for analysing and reporting on monthly marketing performance, as well as tracking competitor activity. The competitor activity will be presented and shared with the Product Owners monthly.
  • Paid Advertising Management: support the Marketing Manager in developing and managing our paid media campaign strategy & sales via the co-ordination of our customer propositions and channel mix for websites prioritised by department head.
  • Stakeholder Management: liaising and networking with a range of stakeholders, including 3rd party suppliers, colleagues, and partner organisations. The Marketing Executive will be an Ambassador for the Marketing Team ensuring we have strong relationships with our internal and external partners.
  • Strategy Development: working with the Head of Marketing and Marketing Manager, the Marketing Executive will be expected to participate in the development of the annual and 3-year plans for the Marketing Team.

Other Responsibilities

  • Organisational: Deputise for Marketing Manager as required.
  • Financial Management: assist Head of Marketing and Marketing Manager with smooth & efficient running of department budget.
  • Reporting Metrics: delivery of monthly reporting requirements & continuous review of optimisation and performance measurements.
  • Customer Propositions: use of customer and market insights to provide direction for marketing/sales initiatives.
  • Emerging Trends: assist Head of Marketing and Marketing Manager with identifying and evaluating digital trends, emerging technologies, and new sales channel opportunities.
  • Communication: ensure all contact and interactions are of the highest standards, communicating clearly and appropriately to all stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role you should:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, Communications, or another similar field.
  • Have a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Have experience in managing marketing budgets.
  • Be comfortable working across multiple channels and managing competing priorities. Having experience in the insurance industry is a benefit but not a mandatory, successful candidate should be open to completing Accredited Product Advisor Qualification through Insurance Institute of Ireland.
  • Be confident and capable to communicate clearly, effectively, and confidently at all levels.
  • Have excellent written, presentation and editorial skills.
  • Be a creative thinker.
  • Be comfortable working with data and analytical in your approach to developing workable outputs from data analysis.
  • Have good business acumen and organisational skills.
  • Having a second European language is an advantage.
  • Have a passion for Travel.
